Senior Energy Engineer - Ballston Lake, NY
The Senior Energy Engineer (Mechanical/Controls) position will encompass all aspects of engineering, building and servicing mechanical based Energy Conservation Projects.
Responsibilities
Performing mechanical, on-site preliminary energy audits and Investment Grade Energy Audits (IGA’s).
Completing mechanical Energy Conservation Measure (ECM) preliminary designs and investment grade designs.
Completing mechanical ECM energy calculations and savings projections.
Developing mechanical ECM proposal templates in Excel. Template should incorporate:
-Proposal Sheets to review with customer
-Energy Calculations
-Ordering table—to be used by SW procurement group to purchase material
-Project Economic Summary—Table that highlights: COGS, total cost, profit, etc.
Development of service contract agreements.
Work with our existing Project Development staff to immediately start designing and building VFD projects, Demand Ventilation Controls projects, ECM motor replacement projects, HVAC controls projects and various other mechanical controls projects within our existing customer base.
Work with our existing Project Development and our Project Engineering staff to provide training to identify mechanical based ECM.
Secure mechanical sub-contractor relationships to install mechanical projects.

Requirements
Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- Strong knowledge base of energy efficiency methodology.
- Strong written and oral communication skills for customer interaction and report writing.
- Job experience working on energy efficiency programs in a commercial and industrial environment.
- Expert in developing excel based energy modeling on mechanical systems.
Computer Skills
Expert skills in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook and familiar with AutoCAD.
