Key Employees Promoted to General Managers at SmartWatt Energy’s Chicago, IL and Sacramento, CA Offices

Albany, NY—January 24, 2012—SmartWatt Energy, Inc. is pleased to announce that it has promoted Aaron Raftery and Brooklyn Stewart to General Manager of its Chicago, IL and Sacramento, CA offices, respectively.

Aaron Raftery most recently served as a Project Development Engineer at SmartWatt Energy’s Chicago, IL office.  In that role, he was instrumental in building the number of SmartWatt Energy’s large commercial and industrial LED lighting retrofit and comprehensive solution projects throughout the Midwest.  As General Manager of SmartWatt Energy’s Chicago office, Aaron will be responsible for overseeing staff and all ongoing projects and for further developing and managing key cold storage national accounts for the company.

Brooklyn Stewart joined SmartWatt Energy’s team two years ago as a Project Development Engineer.  He has played a major role in SmartWatt Energy’s expansion throughout the West Coast, and has managed and led several key food processing accounts for the company.  As General Manager, Brooklyn will be responsible for managing and coordinating SmartWatt Energy’s Sacramento office staff of Project Engineers and guiding their efforts in developing and growing customer networks and designing large commercial and industrial projects throughout Northern California.  He will also focus on increasing the number of SmartWatt Energy’s mechanical upgrade projects in the region.

Marketing and Human Resources Staff Promoted at SmartWatt Energy’s Corporate Headquarters

Albany, NY—January 17, 2012—SmartWatt Energy, Inc. is pleased to announce that it has promoted Danielle Marquis and Lindsey Speach  to Marketing Director and Human Resources Director, respectively, at its Corporate Headquarters in Albany, NY.

Danielle Marquis joined SmartWatt Energy’s team a year ago as Marketing Manager.  She has successfully revitalized SmartWatt Energy’s branding while developing and implementing an integrated strategic marketing plan for their nationwide offices. Danielle has primarily focused her efforts on leading SmartWatt Energy’s entrenchment in the cold storage and food processing market segments and has been an integral member of the team responsible for acquiring new utility-based Direct Install Programs.

As Marketing Director, Danielle will be responsible for developing, overseeing and coordinating the East and West Coast Marketing Divisions and integrating marketing with SmartWatt Energy’s nationwide sales divisions and utility programs, while continuing to identify emerging target markets and develop new marketing strategies.

Lindsey Speach joined the SmartWatt Energy team a year ago as Human Resources Manager.  She has successfully recruited and staffed several new offices throughout the United States, while continuing to recruit and hire for existing offices, oversee payroll, benefits and training matters. Lindsey has been a key element of SmartWatt Energy’s organizational development and helped fuel the company’s rapid growth over the past year. 

As Human Resources Director, Lindsey will be responsible for growing a Human Resources team that will implement new Human Resources policies and programs, while managing all aspects of recruiting, employee relations and employee development.

SmartWatt Energy, Inc. Expands Corporate Office with New Staff and Promotes SmartWatt Electrical Staff in New York City Metro Office

Albany, NY—October 13, 2011—SmartWatt Energy, Inc. is pleased to announce that Jaimie Sander and Terry Davis have joined the company’s corporate office as a Recruiter and Corporate Controller, respectively.   Miguel Echavarria was promoted from Senior Electrical Installer to Construction Manager in the company’s New York City office. 

SmartWatt Energy is a leading nationwide provider of turnkey energy-efficiency solutions for commercial, industrial, government and utility customers.  As the demand for lighting system upgrades and comprehensive solutions grows for commercial and industrial customers, the company continues its development nationwide and has recently added two new offices, resulting in new staff and promotions to further support this growth.

Most recently, Jaimie Sander worked as a Recruiting Specialist at Nationwide Mutual Insurance Company, where she was responsible for providing support directly to the company’s Executive Leaders through the recruitment and screening of candidates for all agency programs within New York State.  Prior to working at Nationwide, she was an Executive Recruiter at ValueWise Corporation and a Sourcing Specialist for General Electric, where she was responsible for sourcing and screening top talent for GE businesses including Energy, Transportation, Aviation, Human Resources, IT, Healthcare, Oil and Gas, and Enterprise Solutions.  Jaimie graduated from the State University of New York at Oneonta, with a Bachelor of Science in Communication Studies and Minors in both Business and Public Relations.  She will be in charge of recruiting candidates and selecting top talent for position openings in all locations nationwide.

Terry was a Senior Investments Analyst with Merrill Lynch, where he aided in the management of over $1.2 billion in assets and developed and monitored customized asset allocation accounts for various clients.  Prior to working at Merrill Lynch, he was a Lead Senior Pricing Analyst at Fidelity Investments and a Data Analyst at Pioneer Investments. Terry graduated Magna Cum Laude from Northwestern University with his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. He will be responsible for overseeing all accounting procedures, functions and staff as well as analyzing and improving current financial processes.

Miguel Echavarria was promoted from his position as a Senior Installer at SmartWatt Electrical, SmartWatt Energy’s sister company, to construction manager for SmartWatt Energy after just 8 months. He has over 7 years of experience working in the Electrical and Lighting fields, most recently working at Converge, Inc. as a Field Supervisor.  There, he was responsible for organizing and overseeing all program activities in the field, including leading multiple teams simultaneously as they performed audits and equipment installations, as well as directly interacting with clients. Miguel will be responsible for supervising and leading all Electrical Crews in the installation of energy-efficient lighting upgrades as well as developing construction plans for each small business project within the Orange & Rockland Program.
