Albany, NY—March 13, 2012—National Grid announced at their First Annual Energy Solutions Partners Recognition Dinner that SmartWatt Energy was the recipient of three Energy Solutions Partner Awards for their exceptional energy savings performance as part of National Grid’s 2011 Large Business Program in New York.
This unique program is comprised of pre-qualified turnkey energy efficiency contractors, and is geared toward increasing the energy efficiency of large commercial and industrial businesses in Upstate New York through lighting retrofits. Business customers with an average demand use of more than 100 kW of energy per month will qualify for the Program, in which SmartWatt Energy provides complimentary commercial energy audits and National Grid provides rebates of up to 50 percent of the cost of the installation of energy efficient lighting.
The first two awards recognized SmartWatt Energy for being a “Champion Partner,” providing outstanding energy savings and service to their customers in the Albany and Syracuse, NY areas and the third award was for being a “Distinguished Partner,” providing outstanding energy savings and service to customers statewide. In total, SmartWatt saved large business customers in New York 9,744Mwh in 2011, approximately nine times the savings they originally forecasted.

Albany, NY—November 10, 2011—SmartWatt Energy announced today that Danielle Marquis, Marketing Manager, has accepted a nomination to the International Association of Refrigerated Warehouses (IARW) Southeast Chapter Executive Board. Ms. Marquis, who was nominated by the Chapter’s Chairman and seconded by the Chapter’s Representative on the IARW Board, will be an Associate Board Member, representing the interests of other Associate members of IARW’s Southeast Chapter.
Each North American Chapter of the IARW is responsible for managing and developing meetings and events in their geographic region. This includes administration, accounting, meeting planning, sponsorships, programming and marketing. Ms. Marquis will focus her efforts on sponsorship, marketing and meeting planning.
